Some RV/Van Dwellers establish residency in a few states like South Dakota. You only have to go there once a year to maintain your residency. You have a mail forwarding service that sends your mail to wherever you are. You can get a mail-in ballot sent to you if that option continues to be available.
It’s like an unorganized retirement village. You live with people your age and look out for each other, and you can mostly avoid the global insanity, for now. If I didn’t have my dogs, I’d be tempted to follow, now that Starlink and solar panels exist.
People have pets out here. Some are mobile, some are semi- permanent and others are permanent campers. Do the research, watch YouTube channels that have both single men and single women. And couples. They reside in cars, vans, schoolies, truck campers class c and larger motorhomes. . The rules have changed a lot if RV parks have a 10 yr rule about the age of your camper. Some allow a certain number of pets.. Some campground parks do/ or don't have laundromats, free Wi-Fi some dont. I've seen horse people travel with their horses, their horse trailer has also a camper, traveling nurses in their cars, traveling workers in a variety sizes of campers, motorhomes and Tiny Houses, some live in house boats. Some have ATVs or motorcycles too. Sometimes boats. I'm a permanent camper, for the past 8 years. I have several cats. It may not be for you, but you can start small, like a weekend trip. I hear there are safe facebook groups to travel with that are geared towards men only and women only some are mixed ages and married couples, too. Also many now are part time adventurers, they keep a permanent address. You may decide not to travel,j but ust down size find property that is zoned for a Tiny house or camper.
If I didn't live in a Canadian city where it's winter for 7-8 months of the year, I would definitely opt for this lifestyle. I'm in my 50s and have to move sometime this year, and it is SOUL CRUSHING to know that I'll have to spend $1800-2000 on a 1 bdrm apartment 😞 And there are no alternatives. I currently share a home and I'm still paying $1750. I would love to say f**k it and be able to go mobile!
I’ll be able to afford rent, I own my home now. But I’m looking forward to the road. It’s different when you’re there by choice rather than default, I know. I’m lucky.
That is so sad and I’m living in hud assisted And the trajectory the budget cuts are happening. It’s only a matter of time before millions more of us are out on the streets there’s chatter that there’s a 40% reduction to their budget in the next years Budget
I have lived in a RV the past three years. We have just recently moved out but I enjoyed it. The only problem I had was no room and too rural. I needed to be closer to town.
I’m building the system that finally fixes the gaps, leaks, and blind spots that every RV park, campground, tiny‑home village, and outdoor‑living operator has been dealing with for years.
The name is changing to reflect what it actually is:
Camp Fire AI — The AI of All RV & Camping Management Services
This platform goes far beyond what Campspot, RoverPass, ResNexus, WebRezPro, CampLife, Newbook, Firefly Reservations, Campwise, ParkWithUs, and Guesty ever solved.
Not another booking tool.
Not another reservation widget.
A full operating system for outdoor‑living communities.

🔥 What Makes It Different
• We fixed the operational gaps
• We closed the revenue leaks
• We automated the burnout points
• We built transparency into every layer
• We added features the industry never built
• We designed it for real‑world operators, not corporate theory
And the app opens with one grounding question:
“What will you give to this day.”
This is the shell.
The architecture is built.
The mission is clear.
Camp Fire AI is the next chapter of RV, camping, and outdoor‑living management — and it’s under development now.
How do these folks vote?

Dogs can go. We have two dogs and lived in the RV. They love it.
Yeah, I’d take them in an RV. Here, I was talking about in a van.
Sorry, got it now. Lol
Not a problem. 🥳
