YES!!!! Yes, yes, yes! Well said, Carol! My 70th birthday, in 2025, was a celebration .... "I made it this far!" My 71st, this year, was a quiet smile. Yeah, I made it .... I made it to that point of freedom, and it is so very sweet. Wonderful writ, Carol. Enjoy the road ahead. And, thank you. 💖

Thanks Carol. I like the part (now in early 70s) where we can interact with people as if we were kids again. Still being responsible community members but saying hi as kid to kid. I noticed this at my 50th college reunion, nothing left to prove, enjoying the person in each other, not looking for jobs or romantic possibilities, merely kid to kid. Maybe some others were still jostling for status but why bother. Similarly at family reunions or even when saying hi to store workers and neighbors. Hi, I see you, another human being, my neighbor. And the fun part, reconnecting on Facebook with people I did actually know as kids, even if we’re spread all over the place. ((using “kid” loosely, like zero to 30-something)

Hi Jennifer....I understand that kid concept. It actually good to think that way. It helps reduce any poor feelings or judgment you may have toward anyone. I remember years ago when I took a public speaking class and I was shy to talk in front of an audience, someone told me to think of my audience as babies in diapers with a pacificer in their mouth. I tried that trick and it actually worked for me. I can speak in front of people and I'm not nervous.

What a lovely message to wake up to Carol! I’m going to carry it around all day like a small gem in my pocket. And every once in a while, I’ll think of you tooling around in your camper 🚐 finding adventure! 💕 And that will make me smile. Thank you!! 😊

This is fantastic, Carol! Thank you for sharing! And thank you for saying out loud what many are thinking and feeling! It really is about giving ourselves permission to be and do what is true.
