I love this ❤️

I’m seventy four and feel exactly the way you describe.

Yes, I'm constantly looking for more ways to make my life simple in this fast-paced world we're living in. There's an art to learn how to do this I've discovered. One trick is to stick with what is tried and true for you, such as insurance shopping.

Well said! I was a sole single parent through most of the forty years you talk about. While I'm still working, I'm living simply and slowly.

Hi Leslie,

I too was a single parent and raised two daughters working and keeping a roof over our head. Not much help from anyone except my sister when she could help out. But they are grown now and I'm taking as many short steps as possible. Trying my hardest to stay out of debt. Luckily for me, I'm healthy and don't have any medical debt. But I work at eating nutritious foods, resting when I need it no matter the hour, and getting in daily physical exercise. Time does seem to race by these days, so I take time each day and do nothing except dream, so I can force the days to slow down a bit.

You nailed that beautifully. ♥️

This is being truly “retired”. Many men leave their “work” behind the day they retire and end up not knowing what to do with all the extra time. Women are often expected to continue their work keeping house and cooking and all of that second job. Yes- the elimination of house work and kitchen work should be the goal - downsize, automate, whatever lets you relax and live!

Thank you, I have lived a life giving my whole life and I'm tired.
