What I Wish I Knew Before Living in My Van
I thought I needed more to live in my van in case something happened.
I thought I needed more to live in my van.
More gear.
More space.
More planning.
I didn’t.
What I really needed was to understand what actually matters—and what doesn’t.
That took time. And a lot of mistakes. I realized early on that you don’t need to have all the luxuries you had while living in a site build home.
Your home on wheels has limited space and less stuff means more freedom and after all, this life is about “freedom”.
Some things made life easier right away.
Other things made it harder than it needed to be.
Over time, I simplified everything.
I stopped trying to build the “perfect” setup and focused on what actually worked for me day to day. One or two of the essentials, most of the time only one would suffice.
That changed everything.
I finally put all of it into one simple place—not perfectly, just honestly.
You don’t need more.
You just need the right things.

I grew up camping, it helped when I was living & working on a farm while living in a very old green Airstream that leaked and later a smaller toy hauler. Stationary not mobile. There is a beauty to simplicity of less (is more.) I'm jealous of your present life in a good and positive way. Enjoy some for me! May God bless you with abundance where and how you need it🙂
