Does life often make you anxious?
Does life often make you anxious?

About six months ago, I noticed I was having anxiety attacks almost every other day. There wasn’t too much stress in my life, rather I didn’t think so. While I have hypothyroidism and realizing anxiety is a side affect of the disease I sought an understanding of the triggers that may cause overwhelm.
Not knowing where to begin, I started to look at my diet. Immediately, I considered caffeine and sugar may be contributing to the problem. While drinking 1/2 cup of coffee and 6–7 glasses of ice tea every day — I considered maybe this was part of the problem of my anxiety.
I’m conscious about eating sweets and limit myself on raw sugar and go more for natural sugars. Then I looked at daily stressors that almost everyone has to contend with. Stressors like paying your bills, making medical appointments, managing your financial business, working a job, deciding on what to do next.
I didn’t think my stressors were too difficult to live with, but realize they may have added to my anxiety.
I dislike that feeling of overwhelm and being so anxious I can't think clearly. Plus it makes be feel discomfort in my chest.
Here are three natural ways to fight anxiety
Listen to music. When I listen to music, it seems like all my thoughts disappear. After getting into the beat of the music, my anxiety and overwhelm starts to drop.
Breathe — First I stop everything and become still. Then I take several deep breaths, about ten. The anxiety leaves me. What a relief!
3. Walking. I walk at a fast pace. I aim for walking half of a mile. When I feel my anxiety coming down I listen to music. After a short time, my anxiety is usually gone.
I feel like my old self again. If you experience anxiety and overwhelm, please try these techniques and see they work for you.
