Time to get some altitude. Move up the hill where the climate suits your clothes.

We camped so many nights in the Sonoran Desert. But it was always in the winter months, when the nights got cold. I can’t even imagine trying to make it in 100 degree weather at night! Do you ever consider driving somewhere cooler? Or do your work and friends and family keep you there? I know Flagstaff has some great free camping places and is cool enough in summer. And showers at the Y there are good!
