More Reasons I Need to Invent a New Life for Myself
I want more out of life than what I’m getting, so I’ve invented a new out door lifestyle.
I want more out of life than what I’m getting, so I’ve invented a new out door lifestyle.

I love the country life for numerous reasons. Having serenity and fresh air to breathe is just awesome, while thinking of writing your next article on Medium. There’s something special about burning fires to create energy for keeping warm, cooking your food or just relaxing.
Who needs a big house to live in?
Big houses can be lonely if you don’t have people to fill them. And worse, if there is a big mortgage connected to that huge house — then what’s the sense of it all? I can’t see the point unless you just need to spend money to be happy. Maybe you have lots of friends or family members that you need to accommodate a couple of times a year, then maybe it’s a good reason to have a large house to make them comfortable.
Most large houses are located in neighborhoods and gated communities with strict rules. Rules are necessary, I understand, but what about enjoying your freedom and making choices where you don’t have to put up with a howling hound dog or listen to someone fussing and fighting? And what about the traffic you may have to contend with? These are all valid reasons for me to move to a simpler place to live my life.
After weighing in on my choices, I’ve chosen the lake and camping lifestyle. Even though campgrounds have strict rules, that you should honor and respect, you have the serenity of the lake, campfires and usually friendly people enjoying their lives.
A Texas State Park
Martin Creek State Park located near Tatum, Texas is just such a place to enjoy life. The campground is well kept and offers a swimming area, fishing from a peer, cabins and RV parking. In addition to all of these amenities, they offer trail rides, trail hiking, nature exploring plants and wildlife, and kayaking under the moonlight.
And to top off the scene of the peaceful campground is an Electrical Power Plant that powers 1 million homes in Ft. Worth. The lights from the power plant shine across Martin’s lake at night and are a breath-taking sight to behold.

Here’s my idea of a perfect life for me and maybe you too
It’s temping to strive for a laid-back life where I can work when I want and relax when I need to. I’ve discovered living the outdoor life is the best option and is affordable for most Americans. The state parks are well maintained and supply clean restrooms with hot water showers and an overall peaceful atmosphere. Here is a list of reasons to choose living an outdoor life:
Exercise — Walking is one of the best exercises for the human body. Campgrounds offer exciting walkways around the wooded areas and lakes that are safe.
Being out in nature — getting sunshine, listening to birds chirp, admiring the various flora of the environment is reason enough to find that peaceful, calm feeling that de-stresses us.
Friendly people — Most campers are happy campers, because they come to the campgrounds looking for happy times. Most people I’ve ever come across camping are friendly and accommodating with information that you may need or just find helpful in general.
Take-Away
If you are bogged down with an expensive apartment or a big house and would like to re-invent your life style, why not consider buying a van or camper to live in and camp out. It’s affordable, safe and a life changer for sure. Nowadays, you can have internet access, tv, music, good food — anything you can imagine. I’ve reinvented my life to camping on a regular basis. I do live in a 1200 square foot home that I go back and forth with and mix camping and living in sticks and bricks which works for me now.
I hope you enjoy the great outdoors and do more of it, so you can experience life more fully. If you’re a writer like me, camping is a wonderful way to gain inspiration for your writing topics. And the peace and serenity of the lake helps clear your mind, so you can become more energized and feel like doing more of what makes you happy.
