They simply arrived there the way many people do, one decision at a time, until temporary turns into a life you can carry behind a 1979 Ford pickup. Their camper sits a little off the beaten path, close enough to town for groceries and prescriptions, far enough to hear coyotes at night and feel the sky open up when the sun goes down.
