I can relate to your expectations. I'm 71 years old and life is not what I expected early on. But I'm so surprised how lonely my life is. Even though I have children, grandchildren and a large extended family---I'm still lonely. Being on Medium helps me a lot, but I'd prefer to have that companionship in person. It is something that I never factored into my future. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your article and I can fully understand the value of living life fully while at a young age and all through the years.
