I read every one of your postings and am positively blown away by what an inspiration you are! Besides offering very practical advice for many in need, your guidance offers a simple and clear path to prioritizing what is truly important to you. You have thought about it thoroughly and carefully, you are living it every day and you are taking the time to share it with others who may need it or just need to be reminded of just how lucky they are. Thank you for a very special, precious and intimate account of your very challenging personal life. Hugs🤗!

Baby wipes definitely a life saver. Just feeling yourself every once in awhile is impotent.

Water. I assume you carry jugs of bottled water?

I bought organic cotton muslin baby wash cloths and keep them clean and handy. I use an organic unscented shampoo with a little drinking water on a cloth, for a fresh wash down. I also bought a small water heater/pump, (Geyser,) which heats water slowly using the usb outlet on my dash. It’s not a lot of hot water, but is wonderful for dishes and hot water when I want or need that, for a little sponge bath as well. I keep a little vintage turquoise plastic bowl which I use as a tiny sink-it’s about 12” in diameter. Recently I found a fold up suitcase style water heater with built in pump, called Geo Shower-this looks amazing and I plan to get one some day when I have the $. When you’re camping off grid, you can set up a shower tent, and it will pump water from a blue storage bottle, has excellent water pressure, and heats on demand using a small propane bottle. I find staying clean is paramount to feeling amazing! Rock on Carol! Thanks for being here! Judi

Thank you for inviting us into your world. I’ve wanted to live tiny in a van or a tiny house for years, but I’d have to get rid of my partner first🤣. You highlight ways of living that are taken for granted. A gym membership is a brilliant idea for the shower alone! Onward🙌

I upgraded my subscription because you're totally the type of person I would buy a cup of coffee or a beer for, and the cost of the plan was less than either.

I gave birth to my first child in a converted school bus and know both the struggle and benefits of keeping yourself clean while in an unusual living environment.

So true: There’s something powerful about putting on clean clothes when everything else feels uncertain.

It changes your mindset.

79 & have a 26 ft small trailer I am trying to make solar - no propane.

Witch hazel works for clean air & oil removal.

Very sensitive & itchy head & that will fix it. Cheap at $🌲. A hand towel to rub out the oils.

Clean hair = witch hazel

Thank you for your honest, common sense posts. I love this one about what it can take to feel in control again. Performing these cleaning rituals are critical to keeping our sense of self alive. Thank you!

I get my gym membership (Anytime Fitness) through Silver Sneakers through my Medicare Advantage plan.

One of my favorite items in my van is a 2 gallon garden sprayer. It's my shower, my handwashing station, my dish washing rinse water, etc. I also have a small pump sprayer that holds maybe a quart, which is very useful also.
