How Can I Be Consistent with My Writing and Still Set My Priorities Straight?
I’m serious about my writing strategy and trying to find what works for me.
I’m serious about my writing strategy and trying to find what works for me.

I’ve been writing posts every day in June. It’s hard coming up with new ideas on what to write about that interest my reader. I’m not sure what someone will read, so I have to depend on creating an outstanding headline to draw in my reader.
Finding the time to write
I’m retired now and have plenty of time to do what I want. I write best early morning hours. But lately I’ve been writing in the afternoon, since I spend the morning reading and commenting.
I’ve challenged myself to write and post an article every day in June and see how many new followers I will gain. And I’m working on tricking my brain to get in to a specific routine. I see a pattern developing already and telling myself I will post an article each day and not worry about the quality. As long as the formatting, image and headline is acceptable, then I’m good to go.
On using Google Drive, Calendar and Bookmarks
Wanda Thibodeaux wrote a wonderful article on how to organize your research in google drive and calendar. She mentioned using bookmarks, folders and sub-folders to find things easier. I haven’t implemented this plan, but I plan to tie it in with Google One.
All this technology takes time to learn and set up you know.
I’m excited to find my system that works for me. I don’t too much believe “if I can do it, you can do it too.” However, I like Wanda’s system.
Take Away
Find your best time to write and just write something. Don’t focus so much on perfectionism, rather develop a system that works for you. Another tip Julie Ranson gave me was to create your titles under story and work on your drafts in one place. I’ll try that strategy as well. If you know of a system that works well for you, please share?
